Three training packages are available:

 - eol: a "trusted" training set based on the online collaborative Encyclopedia Of Life (EOL). About 260 000 images related to 10 000 species. All images are under CreativeCommons licence.

 - web: a "noisy" training set built through Microsoft Bing image search engine. About 1 440 000 images related to the same 10 000 species. Note that the dataset may contain a non negligible number of duplicate images.

 - the PlantCLEF datasets from the two previous editions can be also used. Up to 100 000 resuable images related to 880 species. The file "classid_lifec
lef2016_to_classid2017.csv" gives the mapping between the class ids used last year with the class ids used this year.

- the file PlantCLEF2017TrainWeb.csv contains all the minimal information for downloading the pictures. You can download the pictures with your favorite wget or curl command. You can alternatively use/customize the python script "download_lifeclef17_web_train_data.py" for downloading and writing the data in the same format than the one used for the other packages.

- LifeCLEF organizers and their employers make no representations or warranties regarding the images referenced in PlantCLEF2017TrainWeb.csv, including but not limited to warranties of non-infringement or fitness for a particular purpose.
